You wake up late every morning. You go to work late and stress out with your boss. You enjoy your weekends, but find them stressful when you’re way behind on things you should have done the week before. You end up eating fast food for every meal because you don’t have time cook. Sound familiar?
Waking up early in the morning can be really challenging and feel draining especially when you don’t have an exciting plan to start your day. Trying starting your morning off with something that makes you excited.
Here are some easy and simple ideas you can implement into your morning routine to be more productive and happier.
Make Your Bed
Having your room look clean and tidy will make you feel productive. Plus accomplishing one small task first thing in the morning will make you motivated to accomplish more for the day.
Stretch Your Body
Stretching for 5-10 minutes can make a huge difference for the day. Try following some yoga poses or doing any comfortable stretches that make you feel lighter and ready for the day.
Meditate
Want to know a secret? Most people usually do not know how to meditate at first. The truth is you just have to practice focusing on your breath and you’ll find what works best for you. You can always play meditation music or sit in a quiet room to help you focus.
Write In Your Journal
- Jot down how you currently feel and how you would like to feel at the end of the day
- Write down 3 goals for the day and the steps to accomplish them
- Create a timeline outlining what tasks need to be completed
Take a Shower
Enjoy a warm shower in the morning. Taking a shower in the morning is a must-have for me. It helps me to feel awake and ready for the day. If you do struggle with feeling tired throughout the day, I highly recommend you try out this tip! This has helped me a ton when I had to wake up early for work and only got 2-3 hours of sleep.
Wear Your Favourite Perfume
This trick has seriously helped me set the tone for the rest of my day. Especially if you’re working from home or doing school online, wearing a fragrance will help you get into the mindset of being productive. Pick one scent and stick to it to easily remind your brain you need to be productive.
Plan a Yummy Breakfast
Try preparing the meal the night before to get those extra minutes of sleep or gather the ingredients together. If you don’t like breakfast, have one anyway because you’ll feel more alert… trust me!
